Suriname Redtail Boa For Sale

Boa constrictor

Suriname Redtail Boa babies.  This snake is a marvelous alternative to the ubiquitous ball python, as they mantian a generally sweet disposition, eat much more heartily than the BP's, and have a different and interesting pattern. Despite being in the hobby for considerably longer than the Ball, they have remained somewhat underrated until recently as an explosion of new genetically reproducible color morphs have hit the market.  The fact stands, however, that for a reasonably large snake, you'd be hard pressed to find a more attractive and docile pet than the good ol' Boa constrictor.  Always remember to exercise responsibility when considering any snake that can potentially exceed 10 feet in total adult length (more common in female individuals), and always remember that even though they have a reputation for benign behavior, any animal with a mouth can bite (yes, even Ball Pythons).  That said, though they can be snappy at first, especially as juveniles, they almost invariably calm remarkably quickly with just a bit of regular handling.  Currently only juvenile males available.

Bottom Line?

The original exotic pet snake, the tried and true Boa Constrictor has been in the herp hobby sincle long before the Ball Python took the world by storm; they still remain one of the most tractable, easy to care for, and beautiful snakes available at any price.  Unless you're under two feet tall and regularly reek of rat piss, there's a good chance that you can't go wrong with a Boa.

  1. nice snakes 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jun 2016

The snakes that I have purchased are very nice looking but I have been trying to return my last purchase because I received I large boa and I thought I had ordered a baby one. I have been trying to get in contact and I haven't heard anything , so I am a little upset with that. Otherwise it's been great.
