Scorpion Mud Turtle For Sale
One of the more attractive Kinosternon species, the Scorpion Mud Turtle for sale is an popular turtle that retains a relatively small adult size, making them perfect for turtle keepers that enjoy tropical turtle species, but don't have the space or budget to accomodate some of their larger kin. They tend to be nervous when handled, as many turtles tend to be, but otherwise quite active in their enclosures. They display an interesting carapace architecture, and a lovely contrast of shades that beautifully compliment it. Recall that these are a tropical species, so they will require a warmer semi-aquatic enclosure than the Kinosternon species indigenous to the States. They are omnivores and carrion feeders by nature, and they can do well in captivity with a high quality commercial turtle diet. Additionally, it's not only entertaining, but also beneficial to the turtle's health to offer supplemental protein such as insects, earthworms, shrimp, and crayfish, fish, etc. They're not always as enthusiastic about vegetation in captivity, but the occasional offering of dark leafy green would not go without reward in regards to the turtle's well being. This species should probably be avoided by beginners, until they get a bit more experience, but since they do stay relatively small, they are ideal for people with limited space.
