Product Description

Meller's Chameleon For Sale

Trioceros melleri

A real 'proving ground' for those who claim to have legit Chameleon chops, the Meller's Chameleon is a substantial step up from the level of care technicality associated with the much more common Veiled and Panther Chameleons.  They are a Montane species, requiring cooler temperatures, and relatively copious amounts of rainfall (read misting/watering) from which they derive their life-sustaining moisture.  Babies are known to try to eat fake plants, resulting in impactions, so that's out.  They generally do not tolerate handling, like many other chameleons, and...Oh yeah, then there's the whole thing with them getting nearly 2 feet in length and being one of the largest mainland African Chameleon species.  What we're trying to say here is, if you're a beginner considering these animals, we strongly implore you to try your hand elsewhere before bringing home one of these beautiful behemoths.  But with that mind, there are a number of resources available online for those looking to keep these animals, and with the right requirements met, they are manageable, and extraordinarily rewarding.  We've had years of experience keeping the Mighty Meller's so you can be confident that our animals will be properly hydrated and cared for before finding their way into your collection.  And for the advanced keeper, we now have some CB Baby Meller's available, only while they last!  No telling when the next batch will come around!  These animals are WC adults 18 inches long plus, all rehydrated and doing well.  Animals available are subadult through adult specimens, with beautiful color!

Bottom Line?

One of the largest Chameleons available in the industry, the Meller's Chameleon for sale is best chosen by someone with a sure hand in Chameleon husbandry, as their montane habitat requirements, immense size, and sensitive nature place them firmly outside of beginner territory.
