Convict treefrogs
Hyla calcarata
One of our easier species to keep, the Convict Treefrogs are nonetheless quite uncommon, and we rarely get them in any quantity. Named for the bars on their thighs and stomachs, which resemble a convict uniform, they do well in high humidity on a diet of crickets. Some individuals display a faint purple hue in the terrarium!

Cameroon Blue Caecilians
Herpele squalastoma
Bizarre, reclusive animals, rarely kept in captivity. In fact, they are among the least known amphibians on the planet. They are not difficult pets, but keeping this is truly a unique and rewarding experience since so little is known about them. Best kept in a 50/50 water to land tank, or at least in an enclosure with a large water feature and a moist substrate they can burrow in, such as sphagnum moss. These individuals have a lovely dark purple and blue color.
